Nothing 'is' Immediate - Geometric Sculptural Installation
18th September 2021 - 2nd October 2021Location: Chapel Arts Studios (CAS) , Marys Chapel, New St, Andover SP10 1DR
Third of three exhibitions of new work exploring a multi-sensory engagement, geometric sculptural installations and the five elements.
Nothing ‘is’ Immediate is a collaborative project and exhibition by CAS Associate Artists Tony Spencer, Maija Liepins and Christine Dodd that explores the relationship between the elements of Water and Air. Responding to the tangible and sacred geometric aspects of these elements, their association with colour and the chakras, the artists have devised a synergetic installation, which explores the function of art as a sacred practice. Sound from the sculptures is activated by the movement of the viewer within the space offering the possibility of positive emotional wellbeing.
A soft opening of the project takes place 2pm – 4pm on Sat 18 Sep 2021.
Exhibition open 11am – 4pm Tues – Sat from 19 Sep – 2 Oct 2021.
The works will also function as a platform for a series of streamed events including a therapeutic soundbath via zoom (bookable via eventbrite), live performance and poetry.
