Michèle Lazenby was selected to take part in the international, inter-disciplinary residency programme at The Guapamacátaro Center for Art and Ecology in Michoacan, Mexico May-June 2018 for 25 days.
Guapamacátaro is located in a rural area rich in biodiversity. During the residency period, she produced a body of plant-centered cyanotype contact prints where studies of cacti came to predominate. Work from the group residency session was exhibited at the centre in June and a catalog of the residency is available to view online at: https://guapamacataroblog.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/guapa_catalog_2018-05_final.pdf
