Uncompromisingly dense, a bit like a full stop, the topographical model of the Bernina mountain range was modelled in black clay from a motley collection of antique postcards and maps, google earth images, and from imagination. The actual Morteratsch glacier once ground through rocks; this miniature glacier valley was gouged out by hand, leaving finger tracks in the soft clay.
