An ongoing exciting collaboration between mining historian Ioan Lord* and artists Alice Forward and Louise Short who are all responding in their own ways to the history and future of the abandoned mines of the Ystwyth and Rheidol valleys. We aim to mount a culminating exhibition of sculptural installations with planned films and events, due to open at the end of March 2023.

The image 'Capel Twnel' is a drawing in progress on the east wall of Capel Bethel at Troedrhiwsebon, Cwmrheidol, which was originally built for local incoming Cornish miners. The tunnel or adit follows the shape of the pulpit that originally stood there.

Photographs of the mining shed the once stood at Cwmystwyth mine are part of the the basis for ongoing sculptural work by Louise Short
