Draw in/ draw out, 2021 by Lucy Crouch

Lucy Crouch

A large hanging graphite structure, that bears the imprint of the fabric on which it was made. Graphite, the primary mark-making material, now holds its own form and performs both the line and surface of drawing. Draw in/ Draw out proposes that the drawn gesture is embedded within the density of the graphite material itself.

Graphite powder, PVA, wallpaper paste, yellow cord
