gobscure was selected for the Change Makers residency at The Art House from April-September 2017. We were commissioned by The Art House to make a film about his time there.
gobscure's work challenges and presents alternatives to institutional narratives of psychiatry and the vocabularies we use to discuss mental distress.
During his residency gobscure developed new work in response to the materials on display at the Mental Health Museum, Wakefield and also its new manifesto which aims 'to explore mental health histories to help forge a sustainable future where people can live fulfilling lives in their communities'.
We create films for and about museums, galleries, artists, arts organisations, studios and events. If you'd like us to make a film for you, get in touch [email protected]
